My daughter had to load a software program that was supplied by her school to connect to their network when she started last fall. She needed the software for wireless and to connect to an ethernet cable in her dorm.
Ask your advisor or at the main office if anything special is required.
FYI, According to one of our former IT person’s (college student intern that graduated & got a job) many college’s keep their bandwidth low on purpose (too many students w/ too much free time on their hands doing ???
) so you may find it a bit or a lot slower than what you are use too.
try gatting and externel one
is it working in some other place? If yes then you have to contact you school sysad.
Some NETWORKS can be connected to, but don’t give access to internet. Maybe an internet card would be better.
